Oh, the beauty of quality sampling. Also, the beauty of when Sonny Wharton and SIZE Records connect. Both of those things have occurred this month as we listen to Wharton's latest, "Vice." After breaking out with his first single in 2017, "No Frills," "Vice" sees Wharton return to the Steve Angello-helmed label group, after having a history with its underground label X in the past.
"Vice" is a much appreciated, less frequent appearance from the British artist, veering slightly from his tech house brand to even higher energy house. Hip-hop swirling amongst a sea of tech grooves is pretty irresistible, especially when Sonny does it. "Vice" is for the peak time, and the only thing wrong with it is that it doesn't allow us to time travel while it's playing, straight to Saturday night.
