MTL repping rapper, Wasiu, has delivered consistent fire over the past few weeks with tracks like “MTLien” and “Daddy Issues.” Today, we at EARMILK get the chance to premiere his latest video, “No Jumper.” All three songs are slated to appear on his new project, Snow Mexican EP, which drops today!
Peep the video below.
The video is fairly straightforward and sees Wasiu walking to the corner liquor store to pick up some snacks. As we’ve all been told a thousand times though, it is the journey, and not the destination, that matters. So too is it true for “No Jumper” as along his quest for confectionary goodness, Wasiu walks past and avoids some pretty petty characters.
These interactions, or lack thereof actually, are what contribute most to the meaning behind “No Jumper.” “I could build a building with the bricks they missin,” Wasiu raps as he strolls past some pissed off street hockey players (Canadian things) and construction workers. Everyone seems to be pissed off at Wasiu, but he bears them no mind, continuing on his way without the slightest hesitation.
With the release of Snow Mexican EP and the upcoming release of his next full project MTLien 2, Wasiu is poised to have a fantastic 2017. Give the video for “No Jumper” a look above and be sure to stay locked on EARMILK for all the dope tunes coming out of Montreal.
