Let's be honest, it is incredibly hard for artists to break into the music scene. In 2017, it seems every artist needs to find their niche if they want to differentiate themselves from their contemporaries and cut through the noise. One such artist, Van Jamme out of Los Angeles, is doing just that. With his, The Waiting Game EP trilogy, Jamme is breaking away from the pack with a story-driven, cohesive and well-executed series of EPs.

The LA artist has been releasing parts of the series on consistent Fridays, and today we find ourselves at TWG Part 2. While TWG Part 1 saw our hero receiving a mysterious phone call promising a better life and the realization of all his dreams, part 2 sees our hero struggling with his new found success.
Throughout the course of the five-song EP, Jamme drives the story along with a sharp rhyme scheme and a killer flow. Though the project as a whole is on point, "New Thangz" is by far its standout. Jamme settles in on this track and shreds the beat to pieces with his relentless flow. On top of his strong rapping ability, Jamme recruits a handful of producers to set the stage for each track. HyperViolet, Cecil, Countach, and Rickie Long all hold their own on TWG Part 2, giving the project a well-rounded feel that fits the EP's overall motif.
The third and final EP of the series will be released April 7. Until then, give Part 1, and Part 2 (above) a listen and stay locked on EARMILK for more dope tunes.
