Last Friday Louis Baker (who has previously collaborated with Jordan Rakei) released his latest, incredibly soulful track, entitled "Gave It All Away." The track which was recorded at Red Bull Studios in New Zealand and the UK comes in two equally amazing versions: stiflingly raw and acoustically driven with extremely percussive guitar playing with a sense of urgency to his lyrics, and the second a danceable electronic track produced by none other than Fat Freddy's Drop legend, Mu, which subsequently found its way into Red Bull's 20 before 17 feature.
"This is more than passion, this is more than a game
This is more than anything that I could have made"
Written whilst far away from home Baker recalls the moment of creative revelation: "The song is about not giving up on your dreams. It's about never giving in. It's about the resolve and determination one must have in order to make these dreams become reality.” The two songs are due to be pressed onto a 7" double single vinyl, released February 10th 2017.
