What better way to kick off the week than some killer new music to pump you up? If you haven't taken notice of Houston-based Prismo yet, now is a good time to have a listen. The producer/singer also known as Zach Burgett is an exceptionally talented artist who's been playing various instruments including drums, bass and guitar from a young age. With inspirations from Radiohead and Billy Talent, he carries over a undeniable vivacity in his sound of "Prismo" today. Most recently on EARMILK, we covered his stunning rendition of Twenty One Pilots, "Heathens", marking a rich track in which he had also lent his own vocals to.
Today EARMILK is happy to present the long-awaited official release of Prismo's EP Distant Minds, a sonic exploration of varying sounds saturated in raw energy. The release includes Prismo's biggest releases of the year including "Dreams", "Coexist" and "Shame", alongside stunning remixes by Kompany, Jordan Andrew & Nick Anthony and Eliminate. "Coexist" speaks to a poignant notion of unconditional love. The wavy synths of the work reflects the thematic concepts within the track, imitating fluttery nature of coexisting with loved ones. "Dreams" is an interesting approach to a trappier sound. Prismo takes listeners through a hazy trip with his wonky blips in "Dreams". "Shame" takes on a cinematic sound with it's thumping percussion to add a sort of drama to the work.

All in all, Distant Minds depicts Prismo's diversified sound which has taken influence from a range of musical styles. Within the EP, were shown influences from indie pop, future bass, trap and more. What ties the EP together is the consistent quality in Prismo's lyricism, production and ability to hit at all the feels through his vocals.
