After making a name for himself with dynamic remixes for Tove Lo, Banks and Years and Years, Gryffin is focusing on original tunes. He released his first original single, "Heading Home" featuring Australian troubadour Josef Salvat, earlier this year and now he's dropped a new collaboration with Bipolar Sunshine (of DJ Snake "Middle" fame) titled "Whole Heart". The song builds an intricate electronic production on top of acoustic chords, starting slow and building towards the chorus along with Bipolar Sunshine's dire lyrics. He raises society's problems, singing, "We got problems in the streets again, drowning in the violence, it's getting pretty tense, a lot of hunger in the faces I see, a lot of bitterness, communal emptiness." In contrast, the chorus is an uplifting call for people to come together, or to go "whole heart," and the music builds that message up.
