AVA Festival is happening for a second year on June 4th in Belfast, Northern Ireland. What makes the event so spectacular is the unique blend of network possibilities, workshop activities, and intimate settings for live music. The conferences early on provide a small space to discuss culturally important ideas among influential decision makers. The workshop activities are perfect to teach any professional or amateur crucial skills about Abelton and programs. Three stages provide a variety of venue spaces, ranging from an open warehouse to close by setting on the docks. Belfast has an increasingly popular electronic scene that stems from a new appreciation for different musical ideas. AVA Fest provides the space, time, and opportunity for local and national artists to be heard among a global audience.

The line up includes the fanatic Mano Le Tough, a deep house mastermind not for the faint of heart to hear with his menacing minimal music. Rødhäd will also be heading, as a German producer well known for his house style and technological innovation. Twitch will be making a second return at AVA Festival, a legendary local trio known for their skills behind decks. The full lineup is posted below in further detail.

AVA Fest will also be hosting a Boiler Room stage out on the docks for the second year boasting a list of Irish talent. Optimo will head line the Boiler Room stage, an impressive duo originally from Glasgow specializing in house music. Additionally Hammer, a disco specialist from Belfast, will be playing earlier in the  day to lighten the mood. Brame & Hamo, a duo from Silgo Ireland, will be bringing a jazz and soul sounding style early on as well.

There will be a host of conferences taking place from 11am to 2:45pm, where industry leaders, musicians, and cultural writers will speak to a small crowd to discuss important issues and ideas. To give a brief sample of what one might expect, Belfast heroes Bicep will be speaking about their transition into a live show. Juan Atkins will be speaking about the history of Techno answering questions from ID Mag. Shanti Celeste, Grace McCracken, Halina Wielogorska, and others will be speaking about women in electronic music and problems they face. Additionally CEO of Association of Electronic Music and author David Haslam will present the keynote on creative and economic values behind club culture. For a full overview of the different conferences, check out AVA Festival’s social links below.

It’s safe to say that AVA Festival is a unique combination of live music with daytime workshops and culturally important guest speakers. The event is ground breaking because of the short period it’s happening with a locally infused lineup boasting a diverse amount of music. The interactive component of AVA Festival and opportunity to be broadcast by Boiler Room makes the event bigger than just Belfast. Keep your eyes and ears on Northern Ireland, as it continues to grow and the innovators behind the music scene flourish by providing different artists with proper recognition.
