In New York City's concert scene, the curly-haired duo The Golden Pony are pretty much staple performers. But it's days like today that remind us that they're great live DJs, but even better producers. Influenced over and over by Chicago and New York house, the guys are avid crate diggers, and in their latest single have used one of the fruits of that labor to make something amazing and new. Sampling a New York group headed up by house icon Larry Levan, Peech Boys, "Don't Make Me Wait" will wake you up immediately if you're struggling on this Monday. It's groovy, well-produced and while not over the top, its infectiousness is undeniable.
The track is The Goldne Pony's debut on Swiss house mainstay Enormous Tunes, and is streaming via SoundCloud.
