Mashup Monday – We're back again with some mashes that will get your week started right. Giving you the freshest, dopest, sickest, smoothest, (every other superlative you can think of) mashups to start your week off with a bang. These are the mashes that are worth hearing, so stop your searching and instead get to listening. Mashup Monday on EARMILK is for the best stuff around, so settle down at your computer… turn up your speakers… and get ready for that sweet nectar that only EARMILK can give ya. Let's GO.
You may be wondering "Mashup Monday…now? But it's Tuesday." Yeah, well due to technical difficulties – as in my computer completely crapped out on me yesterday – I was unable to get anything posted. But that certainly isn't going to stop me from getting some dope tracks out to the dedicated followers of Mashup Monday (and of Earmilk).
This week's edition has a decidedly international feel to it, but that just goes to show that great music can be found all over the world. It's interesting to note the similarities, and differences, of mashes done between foreign artists and domestic artists. Some foreign artists include: Dan Mei & Marc Johnce (collaboratively known as D.M.F or Danish-German Mashup Forces), DJ Schmolli, and Ryson. In my opinion, Ryson's "Danza Rabiosa Kudoro" is probably the most interesting due to all the samples being of Latin American artists (can you fault me for liking something that personifies my heritage?).
But don't despair, I still have plenty of American-made mashups for you guys. AMERICA! Leading the American charge is DJ Rudy with a brand new mashup that utilizes some SHM, Musicmatician, The Abrahammer, and DJ Millertime. However, an absolute banger of a mashup track is that of Celldweller. If you're a fan of Earmilk's Wobble Wednesdays (big ups to Croydon for a great feature), then you may recognize the track from last week's edition. But if not, then Celldweller gives Black Sabbath and Metallica a heavy influx of bass and dubstep to create a spectacular mashup, or in Celldweller's words "Klash-up". So get your fix of Mashups on a Tuesday, and be ready for another installment next Monday – I promise.
