This is your Daily 2% – Chilled and Ready to Serve. We will try to bring you one "chill" track every day. This is for when you get home and you are trying to unwind. You reach for that glass of wine or that unlit Black & Mild or maybe you reach for something more herbal. This track is for those times. We are just your milkmen and I'm here to make a delivery. Chill…

Today's delivery is brought to you by Felix Laband. Interestingly enough I came across this artist on a random visit to a kava bar, in my neighborhood, where I was getting my drink on and just zoning out. I started to hear this strange sound echoing through the atmosphere and discover that it's the chilled out tunes of Felix Laband. It sounded like a mix of world music, downtempo and yoga lounge? All in all, he produces the perfect type of ambient chillout music that you can just press 'play' to and continue your daily routine while the music gives you brief moments of stimulation and prolonged relaxation. Now, this South African electronic producer has been making cinematic-esque music since about 2001 and can be easily compared to a group like Boards of Canada. The track I'm bringing to you today is called "Rain Can" which has a very wordly feel with its Spanish guitar influence. You can find this track on Felix's 4/4 Down the Stairs album but if you plan on buying an album; buy Dark Days Exit as its the better purchase. Check out the track and chill…..

Like many, I started my musical education while engaged in playing classical music in school. What began as a simple adolescent activity, quickly transformed into a deep love and appreciation for all forms of music. This love would continue to grow and manifested itself into the form of becoming a Co-Founder of EARMILK. This online music publication has become my outlet to spread all genres of music to those impressionable people, much like me. And, much like you, i'm often literally waiting for the drop....
