Miami's DJ Homewrecker subscribes to a mantra that any musician should join in on: making music that he enjoys. His latest is "New World In My View," a house track with vocals that pay homage to Sister Gertrude Morgan, a folk artist in New Orleans in the 1960's and 70's whose vocals have been sampled and featured in everything from Selma to True Blood.
This week, "New World In My View" has been remixed by German artist Saison. Out on Guesthouse Music, the remix is entrancing with infectious bass tones and minimal, yet teasing synth play.
