In just a week Symbiosis Gathering will be kicking off their annual festival September 17th-20th at the Woodward Reservation Regional Park in Oakdale, California. Celebrating their 10 Year Re:Union, the festival boasts a stellar lineup with everyone from Nicolas Jaar to Justin Martin. (Check out the full line up HERE).
The one thing we love about the festival is that it's not only a festival for music, but functions as they put it, "an awe-inspiring portal into a creative utopia, a glimpse of a more united future." With 6 stages for artists like Griz, Thugfucker, Damien Lazarus, Bob Moses, Max Cooper and more to provide the tunes, across the rest of the land there will art installations, a 2700-acre lake to swim in, live performance, yoga, gourmet food, a speaker series and a slew of interactive activities and creative spaces. It's safe to say you'll never go bored. If that wasn't enough avant-garde performances by Lucent Dossier Experience, Quixotic, and the Symbiosis mainstays the Vau de Vire Society, will be on site. For a full list of what they like to call "Shenanigans" like Karaoke and Improv head on over HERE. This year they will also be announcing their first Art Boat program in celebration of their 10 Year Re:Union, featuring custom-built Art Boat vessels, festival goers will find the art cars of Burning Man and floating art installations across the lush reservoir, where they will be able to hop on board and enjoy.
As co-producer Kevin KoChen’s puts it, “We have more Facebook friends but less relationships, more timesavers but less free time to spend. Symbiosis is our attempt to facilitate a peak experience, the timeless moment that you remember forever”.
We can't wait to celebrate 10 Years with Symbiosis Gathering and we are starting the countdown now. If you haven't bought your pass yet, you probably should! Grab it over HERE.
We hope to see you there!
