Maximilian Seethaler aka SAINT WKND has been steadily taking the internet by storm over the past few months with a blends of deep, tech, and house beats that have listeners hooked. From remixes well surpassing the 1 million mark on Soundcloud, the signs are clear the the future is looking extra bright for this young man. At only 20-years-old, SAINT WKND has tackled taking on artists like Chet Faker to M83, which is no easy feat as he continues to deliver top quality content.

With the exciting news of taking on his first ever state-side tour, the German producer is providing EARMILK with an extra firery mixtape in honor of his Cali-coast appearances kicking off this weekend in San Diego. Remarking that, "Cali is a place where it is all about the good weather, good people, good mood. This mix is a little tribute to that. A little teaser for the next few weeks and a present I thought I’ll bring with me."

Go ahead and press play as we welcome SAINT WKND to The Golden State and be sure to check out our quick Q&A below.

EARMILK: Hey SAINT WKND congrats on all the recent success, you're about to embark on a California Tour can you tell us more about that?
SAINT WKND: Hey Earmilk, thanks for having me here! I am already super stoked for this adventure. Most of my listeners are located in the States so it’s super dope to finally get a chance to play there. We decided to start a Tour in California because it seems like a pretty nice place to go to. If you are in Cali check these Dates out:
JUN 13th SAN DIEGO – BANG BANG
JUN14th PALM SPRINGS – SPLASH HOUSE
JUN 19th COSTA MESA – THE WAYFARER
JUN 20th LOS ANGELES – MONDRIAN POOL PARTY
And who knows, maybe I’m back in the States sooner than later to play some shows in other states. Fingers crossed.

EM: Any artists you think we should keep on our radar right now?
SW: Of course! Checkout Patrick James, PETIT BISCUIT and of course my dudes Dinnerdate, Fabich, Ferdinand Weber & Delusion.
EM: Tell us a bit about the SAINT WKND project, how did it come about?
SW: The thing is that I’m like not a one-genre-dude. I am playing Guitar for some years now, so my personal background is somewhere between Indie and House/Electronic stuff. This whole project started with more kind of edits of some of my favorite Indie Artists, such as Two Door Cinema Club, Reuben and the Dark and James Vincent McMorrow. The deeper I went into songwriting and remixing itself the more I really got fascinated by it. Now I am focusing more on writing Originals or making Remixes with a total different vibe then the original ones. I am still exploring, still learning new stuff everyday and I really enjoy this Journey of Sound with the SAINT WKND Project.

EM: What's the deal behind the name?
SW: I've read that saint can also mean to create a movement and really loved this idea. I dedicated my life to create and share music. The moment when someone can relate to the expressed emotions, the thoughts and stories while listening to the songs and thereby feeling happiness…
EM: In your own words how would you describe your sound?
SW: A mixture between house/electronic and organic sounds with a pinch of good vibes

EM: Are you working on any collaborations or original music?
SW: I just finished the Vocal Version of an upcoming Original which is about to get a release in August. It’s a very lovely one. There is also a Collab I did with Fabich, Ferdinand Weber and Dinnerdate. And of course a lot more Remixes and Originals to come this year.
EM: What can we expect in the upcoming months?
SW: New SAINT WKND music:) Release of my new single & new remix in the upcoming months. Playing shows in different countries is now a real thing. It feels great to share the love for music and having a good time with various people from various places.
