There are times when you need a break from your nine to five hustle, or are in need of something smooth. So what do you do? You reach for that glass of wine or that unlit Black & Mild, or maybe you reach for something a little more herbal. This is for when you get home and you are trying to unwind and recline. This is for when you need to close your eyes and drift. We are just your milkmen and we're here to make a delivery. This is your Daily 2% – Chilled and Ready to Serve, so lay back and chill…
Today's extra special delivery comes straight from Noah, a Japanese vocalist and artist hailing from Aichi, Japan. She has been getting a lot of traction thanks to her majestic and ambient style. Taking influences from r&b, trip-hop, and droning, she creates an ethereal and dreamy soundscape that'll leave you floating among the clouds. Her fragile singing caresses your mind, downshifting your current state into a lightweight flutter. We at EARMILK have been given the opportunity to give you a first listen to her upcoming full-length debut album called Sivutie.
The opening song is appropriately titled "Sivutie", and it wonderfully sets the tone and mood for the rest of the album. It opens with soft, pulsating effects with echoing vocals. Minimal percussion shortly joins thereafter to accompany Noah's lingering ghostly words. Ambient swirls fill the crisp air to further enhance the fairy-like whispers that intermittently weaves through the dense layers. Look for Sivutie on June 22 via Flau.
So close your eyes and lose yourself in Noah's world below.
