Now this is something I'm excited to post about. Tennyson, the duo otherwise known as Luke & Tess, just dropped a brand new track after quite the hiatus. It's called "Smother" and is exactly the type of style I was missing so desperately from the extremely young musicians. It's creative, electro-jazz at its finest, and I'm almost giddy I have the privilege to share.
I guess the only real difference between this one is the accompanying vocals from Mothica. Vocals aren't usually something you hear on a Tennyson track, but more often a car-door-open alert or a candid chuckle, or even a cat's rumbling purr. I love Tennyson because they're different. Like, really different. They have made songs based around a subtle stream of water to the classic sound of a melancholy piano. The realm of their talent has no limited capacity, and only sticks to one agreed style: jazz and bass.
Take a listen to "Smother" below and try to tell me I didn't just find you your new favorite artist.
