Eli Saf is a Brooklyn based rapper that I admittedly don't know much about. His name sort of showed up in my inbox last night, and while I don't always take those seriously, this one definitely stuck out. According to what I was able to find out, his real name is Chris Morillo, and he's a kid with a worldly past (his father was in the Air-Force). Other than that, a lot of where he's been and what he's done is a general haze, minus a couple projects he's released in the past.
The instrumental isn't exactly the strongest (or perhaps its something off with the mastering), but Saf's flow here is inevitably catchy and hard to ignore. He's got swagger coming out by the boatloads and he's got a strong command of diction and rhythm that's respectable in this day and age. While I wouldn't necessarily comment that he's exactly at Kanye West level like he says at the beginning, but he lyrically slays it down.
He's definitely one artist to keep an eye out for in 2014, and we can't wait to hear more!
