It's not often that an artist so young remains versatile for so long, yet when young talent does excel, it's for the consistent pleasure of their audience. Spol is an artist who has made himself a noticeable mark on the blogosphere again and again. Shane Drisner, known as Spol, has been surrounded by music his whole life, he first learnt how to play piano and use electronic equipment at the early age of eleven. I first heard this inspiring musician when I was on my search for remixes of OFWGKTA, where I came across his aggressive redo of "Yonkers". Now this 19 year old producer has found his place making trap music in particular, but still experiments with what feels natural. Today, EARMILK is pleased to present his most recent release, "Diddy Pop", through Firepower Records. The track is the first piece of music from Spol's upcoming EP, Self Titled.
"Diddy Pop" is everything needed for an energetic trapped out single. It's packed heavy and uses tweaked out vocals to build up and down throughout the whole entire work. The aggressive beat down and high claps make this track an easy crowd pleaser that is sure to gather serious attention. At just past three minutes, you're left with a feeling of remorse as it seems too short to fully satisfy any serious craving. "Diddy Pop" seems like the perfect preview placement before Spol's album is soon to be released.
