FM Attack takes his retro electro sound and unleashes it on Sare Havlicek’s “Sound of Your Soul.” The nostalgic producer, Shawn Ward, is following up his Déjà Vu release from September. The Slovenian Sare Havlicek will feature the remix on his upcoming release near the end of May.
Complete with cowbell, the remix has a haunting noir vibe with overdriven bass stabs, hissing snares, and vocal cut-ups. The bridge has the most familiar feature of FM Attack: a wide synth melody with claps for punctuation. The track remains mostly nebulous, occasionally solidifying. Think Tycho within the stratosphere.
