Last year Armin van Buuren not-so-jokingly titled one of his Intense tracks as "Who's Afraid Of 138?!", a reference to the breakneck BPM that dominated trance for so long but has recently passed from popularity. However, with the increasing prominence of hard dance in electro, fast-paced tempos have seen a reemergence in trance with artists like Rene Ablaze, Tomas Heredia, and today's feature, Sneijder. Back in 2009, the young Irish producer captivated listeners with his awe-inspiring song "The Phuture", a dark journey through the underbelly of tech trance. "Letting Me Go" slides toward the other end of the spectrum, casting a spell with bright, ethereal chords that wrap around Cate Kanell's airy voice. Have no fear, the track still contains techy synths and foreboding undertones, which you can grab today off Adrian & Raz Records.
If you want more unrelenting beats, check out Sneijder's January Beatport chart and his monthly podcast.
