What better time for remixing an artist, than in the light of the debut EP. Just yesterday ASTR debuted their EP Varsity via Neon Gold Records and it was only a matter of time before another artist joined in to shed some more light on the emerging duo.
In his own debut today, London's Boy In A Movie, takes on the pair's first single "Operate" and completely spins in it his own favor. Removing the hi-hat kicks and hip-hop snares, Boy In A movie instead finds a sonic atmosphere in the skeleton of the track. Turning his version into a little less like the "nostalgic drama of Miami Vice and classic horror film scores," and more into the likes of The Chronicles of Narnia and fantasy film scores. Over the next few weeks he will be sharing new and old music, which will all lead up to the release of his debut EP, FEEL coming this March.
