One’s idea of a day of fun may consist of a picnic in Central Park or a trip to the local pub with friends. I am content, however, curled over my computer screen clicking video links and suggestions for hours on end in search of new musical content and inspiration. Today, that time paid off with a brand new release from Greece’s Axel Karakasis. His take on a day of fun is slightly concerning, but I love it.
Day of Fun is a two-track classic techno EP that grooves hard. Both tunes share a great upbeat vibe with impressive sound design and sampling techniques. Karakasis always succeeds in tastefully creating dark atmospheres in his tracks and bends and blends them together so smoothly. The new EP was released on the artist’s very own label, Remain Records, which has been releasing great techno for a few years now. Check it out!
