We are steadily approaching the brisk winter months and if you live in a big continental concrete jungle like myself, sometimes its best to just stay indoors and listen to some tasty tunes as you lie next to the fire. Paolo Solo has some deep vibes that you can truly sink in to. His most recent release, Burning, on Evolution Senses Records doesn’t fall short. The tracks harness the classic deep house feel we know and love with just enough techno influence to keep us on the edge of our seat. The opening track’s shimmering pluck stabs keep heads banging and feet stomping. The second, “get on down,” features clean soul vocal samples during the breakdown keep the gritty bass nice and smooth. Unfortunately no tour dates are scheduled, but I know I’ll be keeping my eye out.
