Miami Horror – "Real Slow" (LDRU Remix)

The Australian-bred quartet  Miami Horror returned two years after their debut LP Illumination, with their new track "Real Slow," released September 10. Continuing to follow their psychedelic-indie dance vibe, the Aussie-output brought listeners another shimmering tune with vocals from Sarah Chernoff. Chernoff, who has also lent vocals to the Classixx, took the lead on "Real Slow" with her breathy voice layered over top cascading piano chords, making for a poppy outing with Miami Horror's typical indie sensibility.

Earlier this week the group revealed their remix EP, with reworks from Gold Fields, Plastic Plates and LDRU. The first two remixes by fellow Aussie-natives Gold Fields and Plastic Plates, retain the same summer-time feeling, keeping Chernoff's breathy vocals alive with some extra disco-enhanced chimes. LDRU changes up "Real Slow" entirely, giving it a bassy makeover reminiscent of a Sleigh Bells rework. Slowing the tempo and pitching down the entire vibe, the Sydney-hailing producer turns the track from a sunny poolside production to a dark underground club boomer.
