Fool's Gold Records signee High Klassified explores the depths of Black Atlass' "Paris" in his latest mixtape. With both artists hailing from Montréal, Québec, we're starting to think there's something in the water up there.
Released August 15, High Klassified magically transforms the originally raw and vocally-driven piece into minutes full of fluttering bass, glitchy trap and utter spaciousness. "Paris" always carried electronic quality, but is now evidently on the heavier side, creeping closer to a sound we associate with artists like Ta-Ku and Zeds Dead.
The track has been made available for free download on Soundcloud, and we couldn't be happier. If you happen to be in New York this weekend, catch Black Atlass at the Glasslands Gallery this Saturday August 17. He's sure as hell not one to miss live.
