While "bass music" has arguably jumped the shark, somewhere in Brooklyn, underground bass parties where the cool kids can still feel, well, cool, are still alive courtesy of Trouble & Bass (whose recent party at Steel Drums in Brooklyn brought Starkey and Swindle to an energetic, laser-filled room).
The most recent single (TBD093) from the Brooklyn bass collective, due July 2, comes from Swedish pop singer Little Jinder. On remix duty is San Francisco's Kastle, whose debut self-titled album was released on Symbols Recordings in April. Kastle takes the cheery pop remix and twists it into a heavier summer anthem, with his signature bass as a perfect complement to Little Jinder's poppy, sugary sweet vocal.
