Native Instruments lifted the covers off the ninth installment to their renowned Komplete mega package software series today. The Komplete 9 Ultimate tallies up to a whopping 370 GB of sound, packing 65 products for your hands to dabble with. Of course the classics like Massive, FM8, and Reaktor 5 make a return but it's the latest additions that have people raving. Particularly the new Monark synth aimed at producing a thick and robust analog sound referencing monophonic synths from 70s like the Minimoog Model D. Expect fat basses and cutting leads, as heard in the company's teaser demos released just in the past few weeks. Battery 4 receives a much needed makeover (it's been 5 years since an update!), redesigned for better productivity and a more streamlined workflow. Add to that, 79 new drum kits geared towards electronic dance music production and you have a drum sampler that looks nowhere but to the future.
But we're just skimming the surface, with updates to the Kontakt library and Solid Mix Series processors Komplete 9 is looking to be quite a hefty package. It's available for pre-order at a suggested retail price of $559 / 499 EUR. Komplete 9 Ultimate is available for a suggested retail price of $1099 / 999 EUR. Updates for owners of Komplete 2 through 8 are available from $149 / 149 EUR. Expected in-store date is March 27, 2013.
