Welcome back! Firstly I'd like to apologize for my lack of posts the last few months, I've become heavily involved in the Earmilk Events movement (follow us on Facebook), and as such it's left me with far less time to post each week. I'll try to get at least one edition of The Club up each week, whether its progressive, tech, deep, or electro. With regard to the events, if you're interested in promoting for us, APPLY HERE and we'll get back to you shortly. We're looking for people in Toronto, LA, NYC, Miami, and Vancouver areas. Now back to the music..
TECH HOUSE
It's been a LONG time since the last tech house roundup, so a few of these tunes aren't fresh by our standards but have some serious club weight, such as Chocolate Puma & Gregor Salto's massive collaboration titled "Gimme Sum". Pirupa's "Party Non Stop" has been a tech anthem for a while now and Riva Starr leaves his impression all over this remix, while Sebastien Leger demonstrates why he's been one of the most consistent forces in house music as he takes to Heartik's "Full Throttle" and delivers as always. My favourite song of the pack however, is Sasha's remix of "Flutes" from Hot Chip. I had the extreme pleasure of seeing him in NY at Electric Zoo and this song was arguably my favourite track of the weekend.
Khainz appear twice this week with "Gateorade" and "That Simple", both pounding tech house tracks that certainly cross that realm into techno. Reminding me of Ahmet Sendil, Khainz have been somewhat of a common name here on The Club over the last few months. Speaking of Ahmet Sendil, he and Koen Groeneveld are remixed by none other than tech house heavyweight Tocadisco, who leaves his trademark bounce all over "Oldschool".
One duo more than most has earned the respect to which I no longer even need to think about whether their track is going to get listed here on The Club. Prok & Fitch are a number one staple for me to play out during the tech sets and are probably featured here more than any other artist. Once again with "Swarm" the duo crafts a tech banger fit for club use the world over. Make sure to also check out Pleasurekraft's remix for Eric Sneo & Chris The Voice if you haven't yet, as they continue to release quality material time and time again.
TECHNO
Some standout techno tracks for this instalment of The Club, so I decided to make a full section for it, highlighted by "Svinx" from Matador, as well as John Roman's remix of Proxy's recent release "Shut Up. If you've been paying attention to John Roman then you'll already have heard of his Revisions series, but if not I highly recommend you check it out. Some other big tunes this week include "Your Turn" from STL, and "Jacob" by Majed. Let me know what you're thoughts are on featuring a techno section on The Club. I know it's getting crowded with all the genres I've been covering but hopefully splitting it up each week is helpful.
If you love the music like I do, make sure you support the artists and purchase the music at a music outlet such as Beatport or similar!
