The weekend has come and gone, and now you're deep into your weekly grind. Never fear, Wobble Wednesday is back with more of your favorite face-melting bass drops to help you make the most of your mundane lifestyle. Today I'll be guiding you along through the many variations of bass music that we see these days, new and old. I wanted to turn the Wobble Wednesday feature into more than just a section for today's dubstep, so I decided it was only right to incorporate some drum & bass as well as a summer time mix of the week section into the weekly feature.

You'll be hearing amazing bass-driven tunes from the softer, chiller side of dubstep to the filthy, grimier side that everybody loves to rage to. I'll also dip into the world of drum & bass as well as add some classic tunes from the 'golden age' of dubstep. All I ask from you guys is to enjoy and download. Once the weekend hits, steal the iPod at the party and throw on these songs. Guarantee it will make the place jump!

BASS

This week Chase & Status remixes Dream Mclean's "Network" into their own version of EDM trapstyle. This is by far the most 'hood' song by the duo, and given recent trends, it should be quite popular. SimpLoFi has a unique style that I personally can get down with, "Bubble Butt" shows it perfectly. It's fun and energetic and actually quite hilarious as well.

FILTH

With the release of Excision's remix album as well as Zomboy's new album there are plenty new filthy tracks to get down to. Also included is a new track from Trolley Snatcha featuring the Foreign Beggars. The bassline in Trolley Snatcha's "Lock & Load" is so incredibly heavy and gritty, but one of the smoothest I have heard in a long time. Take a listen and find out what I mean.

DRUM & BASS

As noted earlier about Excision's remix album, I included High Rankin's version of "Execute" which happens to be a womped out drumstep track. Also included is Japanese producer LASTTRAK, the j-pop influence is hard to miss and the fun 8-bit sounds make it a gem.

CHILL

Stocked up on some chillstep this week. Draper just dropped this new remix earlier today, definitely not your typical Ellie Goulding remix. After a few solid months of silence, Sound Remedy drops a new one making the wait absolutely worth it. The new Kastle collaboration with Jason Burns should absolutely not be skipped. It's the direction of songs like "Somebody" that I think dubstep will/should be going. But with that point, Kastle is always on point with his unique sound.

MIX OF THE WEEK

KillaGraham is this weeks mix producer, which means you're sure to hear some heavy dubstep. A quick glance at the track list and you should be pleasantly happy with this one. It seems he fit in a little something for everyone. Whatever your taste in EDM (assuming its more on the dub side), you'll find something to enjoy.
