Remember Bodega BAMZ; aka PAPI, aka TANBOYS general, recognized as Spanish Harlem's A$AP affiliate? Im going to assume so, but if you live in New York, you've undoubtably heard of him. Bamz returns with visuals for his track "P.A.P.I" off of his project Strictly 4 My P.A.P.I.Z dropping September 11th, and although the video follows a cliched "Last Supper" motif, BAMZs' energy is so egregious, it is easy to forget that it has been done before. Directed by Shomi Patwari for Illusive Media, the video delivers, albeit briefly, a celebration with BAMZ as a New York boss, basking in the wake of Hennessy, whole chicken's and women with his team. The track features South Bronx native Willie Hex whose machine gun flow provides an even contrast to the steady percussive cadence and chiming synths. A$AP Ferg, YAMS, and NY artist and socialite Jgarc Beair make cameos'.
Check out the video below and be sure to cop BAMZ's album when it drops. These fellas definitely have a thumb over that bass heavy, "thuggin'" sound, and if this track is a definitive reflection of what's to come on S4MP, then we are all in for a treat…a trill one.
