Today we have a brand new remix from esteemed UK electronic producer, Draper. I hope by now Draper is a household name for all of you, because he sure as hell deserves it. Earlier in May, we featured Draper's remix of synth-pop duo Bluebells's track "Normal Heights." The euphoric sound that he brings into all of his songs are truly inspiring. For his next venture, Draper remixed Glasgow alternative rock band, Twin Atlantic's track "Yes, I Was Drunk" off of their new album Free, released in May. This track is featured on Twin Atlantic's single EP along with a remix by Jonas Obermueller.
The track goes right into it, kicking off with Sam McTrusty's prominent vocals and soothing reversed sounds airing out the background until the flute and deep bass lines take over and flip the track on end. The heavy vocals contrast perfectly with Draper's chilled electronic ambience that floats throughout the song.
