Los Angeles-based producer ERASR has teamed up with house music heavyweight Lee Foss for "Party Monster," a playful new collaboration out now via Foss' influential imprint, Repopulate Mars.
Built around an infectious groove, a standout synth lead, and tongue-in-cheek lyricism, "Party Monster" captures the carefree spirit of dance music at its best.
"'Party Monster' is about being your authentic self, having fun with who you are, and not taking life too seriously," ERASR explains. "It's that feeling when everyone else is on a seven, but you're on a ten because you just put on your favorite song and stopped caring what anyone thinks. Life is hard enough. Sometimes you just need to have fun."
Drawing inspiration from dance music icons like Fatboy Slim and The Chemical Brothers, alongside unlikely influences such as Phil Collins, ERASR has cultivated a sound that prioritizes both functionality and feeling. His productions often blend club-ready energy with strong hooks, live instrumentation, and a musician's attention to arrangement.
Before launching the ERASR project, the producer released music through Armada Music under a previous alias and built a following through viral SoundCloud releases. His journey into electronic music began after witnessing deadmau5 unveil his now-iconic Cube stage production at Coachella, a formative moment that inspired him to begin producing music in Ableton.
"Party Monster" arrives as a reminder that dance music doesn't always need to take itself seriously.
