RM47 create synergy on S.E.X (Sexual Eargasm Xperience)

RM47’s music has been described as a "history lesson in electronic music." If you have listened to the duo's discography, you know how diverse their range is when it comes to sonics and electronics. This electronic music duo, composed of Raleigh and MAAD, seamlessly shifts between genres to create their own musical universe. Their goal with their sonic world is to get people up and moving on the dance floor. Produced by duo member Raleigh, their most recent single, "S.E.X-(Sexual Eargasm Xperience)", exceeds this goal.

The fast bpm of the track, accompanied by a sleek atmosphere, positions itself in the world of ghetto-tech. The tracks start off with very lustrous production accompanied by adlibs that reel the listener in. This creates a very spunky and secretive ambiance that leaves you wanting more. Raleigh comes in on the first verse with his smooth voice, prompting the subject to “come as they are”.

This lets the listener release the tension in their body and feel more at ease. Then MAAD comes in on the second verse with her luscious voice and demonstrates her masterful songwriting with an aaaa rhyme scheme! (intertwined, collide, mesmerized, divine.) Singer-Songwriters Shaun Ross and Travis Mendes also contributed to the lyrics' cleverness.

They then come together for the chorus with their luminous voices, creating harmonies so ethereal that it makes you want to fall in love again for the first time. The way the duo emphasizes their unique talents while coming together to synergise represents the unique way they create and move through electronic music. Throughout the track, RM47 intentionally leaves space between verses, which does an excellent job of emphasizing their very futuristic forward electronic sound. This also creates space for the listener to just vibe and get their groove on!

Towards the end of the track, the bpm slows down, and lets the tension created earlier settle in. This track establishes RM47 as one of the pioneers of 2020s electronic music and does a great job of prompting people to fully experience the joys of the dance floor.
