If someone promised to love you forever, but then broke that promise, pop-star Haven Madison releases “Uncross Your Heart” for you to relate to and sing your heart out.
The 19-year-old singer originally from Clarksville, Tennessee gives listeners a less than 3-minute song about dealing with a liar and being left heart broken. The track starts with a piano instrumentation and Madison softly singing, “promised we were written in the stars whispering I love you in the dark, so baby uncross your heart,” then the beat gets faster as she sings, “the lover girl in me loved the broken boy in you. Now I’m a casualty of all you said you wouldn’t do.”
While signing along, you will also be dancing and letting your rage out while repeating the words, “baby uncross your heart.”
The dance pop anthem is a reminder of never taking pinky promises too seriously and also understanding that forever may not necessarily be definitive.
Madison is set to open for Broadway breakout star, Jason Schmidt, for his butterfly tour this Spring.
