Meet Swiss singer and songwriter Danitsa, who effortlessly blends hip-hop, soul, and reggae into a sound that is entirely her own.
Born into a family of musicians, she started singing at the age of 10, performing her father’s compositions.
Growing up immersed in diverse genres—from soul and funk to hip-hop and reggae—Danitsa honed her eclectic influences into a distinctive musical style.
After two albums and over 200 live performances across Europe, 2026 marks Danitsa’s return.
Her new single, “Miss Yo,” featuring French composer Béesau, finds her navigating the aftermath of a lost love.
Haunted by memories, she struggles to grieve, spiraling between longing and obsession, but this isn’t just a heartbreak story.
“With ‘Miss Yo,’ I made the choice of a sincere and fully assumed act: to publicly open up about a past relationship that deeply marked me. I needed to say, without filters, how much I loved that person,” Danitsa comments on the new single, “The breakup plunged me into a period of intense sadness, shaped by memories and longing. At first, I wanted to win that love back–before understanding that writing had become my true therapy. ‘Miss Yo’ was a release, and then the beginning of a more essential reconquest: reclaiming myself.”
With a catchy, hook-driven melody, it’s Danitsa’s vocals that truly stand out, capturing the complex emotions of missing someone and processing the way love has treated you.
Groovy, playful, and effortlessly in the pocket, “Miss Yo” doesn’t force the listener to feel; rather, it invites you to vibe with your heartbreak and move to it at your own pace.
“Miss Yo” is out now on Big Dada, with more new music from Danitsa to come soon.
