Both former members of popular music groups, including BLACKPINK and One Direction, Jisoo and Zayn, come together for a slow melodic tune that might want the listener to listen with their “Eyes Closed.”
Coincidentally, two singers who were the quieter and more reserved members of their former group show their softer side while singing about starting something new with a new love interest. Beginning with a piano, the two sing “I know what you're feeling and I know you wanna say it. I do too, but we gotta be patient 'Cause someone like me and someone like you really shouldn't work, yeah, the history is proof. Damned if I don't, damned if I do. You know, by now, we've seen it all.” As the guitar starts to play, they continue singing, “We should fall in love with our eyes closed. Better if we keep it where we don't know. The beds we've been in, the namеs and the faces of who we wеre with. And, oh, ain't nobody perfect, but it's all good the past can't hurt us if we don't look.”
The track describes a situation where two people have felt it all and experienced everything in love from the good, the bad and the ugly, yet, are wiling to give love another chance, but they decide to do so blindly without looking too deeply into the flaws or what lies ahead.
The two calm singers continue along drum beats by singing “'Cause you look like trouble, but it could be good. I’ve been the same, kind of misunderstood. Whatever you've done, trust, it ain't nothing new. You know by now we've seen it all.”
Both are going to let any fear go, fall freely in love without judgment, with their eyes closed, and experience yet another love story to be told.
In the music video, the K-pop star and the X-Factor born star are wearing black singing inside a futuristic spaceship exploring galaxies, the same way they will explore this new relationship.
The slow ballad track brings a romantic feeling that can make two people kiss but never tell.
