Mightyyout rises from the ashes with “Mightyyard”

Hailing from the depths of Rivers State, with a tale etched in resilience and rebirth that has seen him rise from the ashes, Mightyyout bares it all on his deeply personal new EP, "Mightyyard," a seven-track exploration that forces pain out through poetry and struggle into song. The project’s spine is survival, a testament to an artist who has survived life-threatening storms and found focus and creativity in darkness.

Having survived a near-fatal attack in Port Harcourt and going through the ordeal of surviving a motor accident, which saw him use crutches for about eight months, Mightyyout found solace in music. When he returned to the studio, he discovered a ritual that would come to be recorded in complete darkness. “No lights. No eyes. Just me, the mic, and whatever spirit shows up,” he says, a mantra that weaves through each beat and bar on Mightyyard.

In 18 minutes of sonic diversity, Mightyyout cooks with dancehall heat, afrobeats bounce, and spiritual undertones, producing a body of work as deeply personal as it is universally relatable. Standout tracks like “Feelings,” “Like To Party,” and “Pause” underscore his easy fusion of rhythm and mood, from gentle reflection to party time.

“Story” seals the powerful voyage with raw honesty, providing fans insight into Mightyyout’s faith and scars along with his unbreakable resolve. Mightyyard is a kind of rebirth, a reminder that even in times of darkness, there is rhythm, healing, and light.
