Barcelona's electronic music scene is set to reach fever pitch as Brunch Electronik Festival returns to Parc del Fòrum and Poble Espanyol.

This year’s edition promises to be the most ambitious yet, transforming one of Europe’s electronic music capitals into a full-blown sonic experience.

To help you navigate the weekend, we’ve curated four unmissable performances that capture the festival’s diverse landscape—from boundary-pushing live acts to underground legends

Maribou State (Live) – Thursday Opening Concert

Kicking off the festival in spectacular fashion, Maribou State headlines the opening night show on Thursday, August 7th at Poble Espanyol.

The British duo has been steadily ascending the electronic music hierarchy with their distinctive blend of organic textures and electronic precision, and their live performances are nothing short of transcendent.

What sets Maribou State apart is their ability to weave cinematic soundscapes that feel both intimate and expansive.

Their live setup transforms their studio creations into something entirely new, expect lush synthesizer work, intricate percussion, and those signature vocal samples that have made tracks like "Kingdoms in Colour" festival anthems.

As the festival opener, this performance will set the tone for four days of musical exploration, making it an essential experience for anyone wanting to fully immerse themselves in the Brunch Electronik journey from the start.

Loco Dice

Loco Dice brings his legendary presence to the weekend programming, and his inclusion represents the festival's commitment to booking true pioneers of the underground scene.

The Düsseldorf-born DJ and producer has been a driving force in electronic music for over two decades, seamlessly bridging the gap between minimal techno and tech-house with an unmistakable flair that has influenced countless artists.

In the open-air setting of Parc del Fòrum, under the Mediterranean sun, his performance promises to showcase why he remains one of electronic music's most respected selectors and cultural ambassadors.

Ben Böhmer (Live)

Ben Böhmer is among the live acts set to play, bringing his acclaimed live setup to Barcelona. The German producer has become synonymous with progressive house that touches the soul. His live performances add organic instruments and real-time composition that transform his studio work into something truly special.

Böhmer's live shows are emotional rollercoasters that build and release tension with surgical precision. His use of live piano, guitar, and synthesizers creates moments of pure magic that recorded music simply cannot replicate.

Tracks like "Beyond Beliefs" and "Breathing" take on new dimensions in his live format, making this performance essential for anyone seeking the deeper, more contemplative side of electronic music. In the festival context, his set will provide that perfect balance between dancefloor euphoria and introspective beauty.

Nina Kraviz

Major names include Nina Kraviz among the weekend's headliners, and her inclusion speaks to the festival's commitment to booking genuine legends of electronic music.

The Russian DJ and producer has remained at the forefront of techno for over a decade, known for her unpredictable track selection and ability to command massive crowds with her unique energy.

Kraviz represents techno in its purest form… raw, hypnotic, and compelling.

Kraviz's sets are journeys through the genre's past, present, and future, often featuring her own productions alongside carefully selected gems that showcase her impeccable taste. What makes her unmissable is her genuine passion for the music; every track feels purposeful, every mix deliberate.

In the festival's outdoor setting, her performance will likely be a late-night highlight that pushes the boundaries of what electronic music can achieve in a live environment.

More than 250,000 attendees danced during the festival in 2022, creating a large community committed to generating positive changes in Barcelona's cultural landscape.

The festival's commitment extends beyond music, with the Social Fooding foundation working to reduce hunger in Barcelona, having recovered more than 37 tons of food and supporting more than 30 local NGOs per season.

With official afterparties set to take place at Input, La Terrrazza, and Sala Upload, featuring Black Loops, Jeremy Underground, Magdalena, and more, the music doesn't stop when the main festival winds down. This creates a true festival ecosystem that captures Barcelona's legendary nightlife culture.

Whether you're catching the opening ceremony with Maribou State or closing out Sunday night, Brunch Electronik Festival 2025 represents everything that makes Barcelona's electronic music scene world-renowned: diversity, quality, and an unwavering commitment to the transformative power of music. These four acts alone justify the trip, but they're just the beginning of what promises to be an unforgettable weekend in one of Europe's most vibrant cities.

Brunch Electronik Festival 2025 runs August 7-10 across Poble Espanyol and Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona.
