Post-rock duo Dayburn have crafted a powerful yet relatable sonic tale on their first EP Hollow Sounds, Part 1. Spanning post-rock, emo, and indie rock, the project – which will be released in two six-song parts – comes to life with an expansive and cinematic quality.
Led by their debut single “Here Tomorrow,” each track on the EP is built on epic rhythms, soaring guitar lines and anthemic vocals. Delicate but passionate, the resonant offerings all came to life through remote collaborations, celebrating a solid sense of creative freedom.
With fierce instrumentals juxtaposed by thoughtful lyrics, the project channels the catharsis that John Glenn (LiketheAstronaut, Stellar Young) and John Luby (ex-Athletics) have found making music together.
Having carved out a space for themselves in different bands, the pair who reconnected to form the band shape their sound as a form of comfort, are setting themselves up for a fresh musical chapter that feels intimate and universal all at once.
