Brooklyn-based alt-indie pop talent JULESY channels the emotional chaos of transition on synth-tinged alt-pop offering “Heart On The Line,” the lead single from her upcoming debut full-length Flip The Bed.
Driven by moody synths, twangy guitar riffs and introspective lyrics, the track dives into the emotional complexity of being caught between endings and beginnings. Speaking of the track, she says, “I wrote this song at a really confusing time. “I was ending a long-term relationship and kind of starting a new one. I actually wrote it twice — once about the old, once about the new — and then merged them. That overlap felt more honest than choosing one or the other.”
Personal and resonant all at once, the genre-bending number encapsulates JULESY’s signature sonic blend of dreamy folk-pop sensibilities and raw punk energy. With influences ranging from Imogen Heap and They Might Be Giants to Alex G, JULESY’s debut is set to draw us into a bold, messy yet tender sonic space laden with magnetic charm and empowering messages.
Intimate yet edgy, polished yet raw, JULESY is an artist making her presence known in NYC’s indie space and her latest offering is stunning proof of her allure.
