Regional Mexican music is flourishing on multiple fronts, but the latest alternative album from Los Aptos is defining what alternative Sierreño is all about.
TEMPORADAS, is the latest album from Indiana based group, Los Aptos. The fifth in their catalogue, TEMPORADAS is the fusion of countless regional influences into one dynamic sound; one that's carving the groups name in the fabric of larger contemporary music. Combining elements from Latin regional pop, Sierreño, and even a dash of alternative country, the group's music isn't confined to one specific genre and makes for an engaging listening experience. One song from the album that best defines this is "Adams Family."
Right off the bat, the album opener displays what the band has to offer from moody guitars to an even more light hearted performance of Spanish singing. But as the song continues, the regional influences from the horns and clackers build on an atmospheric beat that draws the listener in for lead singer Juan Ortega to give some captivating and haunting bars.
"Adams Family" is the perfect way to introduce this album to an unbeknownst audience who may not be familiar with the regional sound of Sierreño, and this album will be the best means of introducing something mysterious, yet enticing.
