Returning with her new single, Leiyah’s “I SEE LIGHT” is a vibrant pop anthem that shines with emotional depth and dynamic production. Released on May 23rd, the track marks a strong step forward for the London-based artist as she continues to carve out her place in the contemporary pop scene with influences spanning from For King & Country to The Weeknd.

At the heart of “I SEE LIGHT” is a powerful exploration of clarity and purpose amidst the chaos of life. Leiyah reveals, “Me and Will wrote this song based on my own deep and heartfelt struggle for clarity and purpose in a world full of distractions and societal expectations. In this process, I find myself seeking divine guidance, looking to God for direction amidst the uncertainty.” This spiritual quest adds a hopeful dimension to the song, portraying faith as a guiding light that offers comfort and wisdom during times of confusion.

The production, led by the esteemed Johnny Douglas– known for his work with icons like George Michael and Kylie Minogue, brings an energetic yet emotive quality to the track. Pulsing synths, shimmering melodies, and nostalgic rhythms rooted in 80s pop combine with modern touches of drum and bass and indie elements, culminating in soaring choruses and a climactic finish that showcase Leiyah’s expansive artistry.

“I SEE LIGHT” is a rich, uplifting journey, intertwining Leiyah’s personal resilience with a spiritual search for meaning, framed by a production that’s both vibrant and resonant. If you are a fan of contemporary pop, Leiyah is one you want to listen to.
