Omellette has announced his new single, “Moon”.
Self-described as a “bedroom instrumentalist”, Omelette is also known as the singer of “sun-kissed indie” band TEZ, Omellette is releasing the song as part of his solo project, which is due to be released on May 15 via Mahogany Songs.
A rich, solid indie track featuring Omelette’s gentle, humble vocals, “Moon” is the second song from Omellette's solo EP, and was the first track to be completed for his upcoming album.
Starting off life as a “voice note that emerged from a freestyle”, “Moon” is about “the quiet struggle of existing in a life that doesn’t feel fully yours, questioning what we hold on to and why.” Omelette said: “It wrestles with the pull between comfort and truth, the visible and invisible forces that guide us, and hanging in there and being a support for others.”
“Moon” also features André Vasconcellos on bass, Fernando Moreno on drums, Josué Gonzalez on piano, and Vigilance Brandon on trumpet.
