Cork's electrifying 24-piece house and techno collective, BoolaBoom shares fierce introduction to upcoming debut EP with “Shuffle,” offering a vibrant blend of samba rhythms, jazz horns, and house beats.
Capturing a vibrant and chaotic energy, the track kicks off with an infectious acapella chant that builds up to a massive festival-sized beat drop, combining energetic house beats with Brazilian-inspired moments to weave a joyous, carnival-like feel.
With 12 horn players and 10 samba drummers, "Shuffle" showcases the band's signature fusion of intricate brass arrangements and rhythmic percussion.Reflecting on the new release, band leader Darragh O'Connor sums up the live thrill behind the track, saying "We love mixing big band jazz with a thumping samba-house beat and we’re delighted with how this track turned out. When we play this live we always get the audience chanting along ‘cup final’ style to the vocal hook – fists punching the air just before the drop – which really gets a packed venue or festival crowd bouncing."
A project fuelled by an international mix of musicians from Ireland, Brazil, France, Chile, the UK, and New Zealand, BoolaBoom is a melting pot of musical talent that delivers a visceral, live EDM experience every time.
Already a force on the festival circuit, including appearances at Electric Picnic and All Together Now, BoolaBoom has earned critical acclaim and radio play from BBC Radio 6 and beyond.
