Zarooni spills golden vibes in “Honey”

Zarooni is back with a sweet new track that is as smooth as its title. “Honey” is a smash, confirming that he isn’t afraid to stretch the boundaries and combine styles to produce something distinctly his. A sound yoke, from the very first note, the song settles, oozes warmth. It’s the daughter of a slow pour of golden syrup on a heat haze summer afternoon.

Built from a base of indie grooves and electronic colors, “Honey” is a kind of dreamlike road trip through Zarooni’s world. But every time you think you know what you’re hearing, a soft country twang creeps in, adding an unexpected edge to the track that’s both revitalizing and soothingly familiar. This shapeshifting of sound makes Zarooni different, making song-telling stories in stereo.

The production is tight without being too shiny, allowing the natural emotion of the track to breathe. There’s a casual swagger in how Zarooni carries his vocals easily, but layered with depth. His delivery is conversational, old friends catching up, and it melds beautifully with the rounded instrumental textures that cycle and rise behind him.

But what makes “Honey” really stick is its vibe. It’s casually global, but deeply personal. You can hear the melting pot that makes Zarooni from London’s modern pulse to Dubai’s soulful spirit. This is life-feeding, memory-feeding, moment-feeding, and love-of-music-perhaps-began-with-a-guitar-feeding.

Zarooni’s evolution from a cover-loving guitarist to an artist who pushes boundaries is apparent here. “Honey” establishes its own. And at a moment when so much music sounds similar, Zarooni’s willing blend feels like a refreshing breeze. This track is a vibe, a mood, a statement. And if “Honey” indicates what’s on the way, Zarooni’s career is only getting sweeter.
