Miami-based zest pop three-piece, Mustard Service, have done some therapy in their latest single, “Big Time.” A shining example of how taking time to self-reflect and understanding the things that bring you both joy and sadness, the new track explores personal growth, overcoming hurdles, and letting go of toxicity, proving that it’s not easy digging into your feelings, but the payoff is always worth it.

The band shares, “This song is basically about cutting off a friend who you love – but you know you have to cut them off or else you're gonna drown with them. It explores how sad it is having to come to terms with the fact that you have to let them go and grieving that relationship.” Making hard decisions takes strength and resilience, but confronting the pain and prioritizing your mental health is both liberating and empowering.

“Big Time” camouflages its melancholy theme through its playful instrumentation, upbeat rhythm, and feel-good atmosphere. This juxtaposition of bittersweet lyrics and infectious melodies showcases the band's ability to balance lightheartedness with introspection. With laid-back vocals, Mustard Service delivers an effortlessly cool vibe.
