Speaking of the message behind the track, he says “This song is about that moment where you know you need to get out of bed and do things, and you really want to, but somehow that seems impossibly hard. I imagined a scenario for the song where I planned to meet a friend in the morning for a walk – my friend Lucas who is in the music video – and I am fighting the urge to just cancel and go back to sleep, even though I actually do want to hang out and I know we'll have fun.”
A personal yet relatable scenario of not being motivated to what you know is good for you, the track showcases a vibrant yet thoughtful musicality framed by sense of humour and surreal, self-deprecating lyricism.
