Chinese-American producer Helang continues her ascendant trajectory with the release of her most compelling work to date, the Flashback EP, arriving March 6th via HE.SHE.THEY. Records. Following her previous Life Is Music EP, this three-track collection showcases her uncompromising approach to house and techno while celebrating artistic freedom and authentic self-expression.

The EP begins with the title track "Flashback," which immediately establishes a hypnotic, groove-driven foundation designed for peak-time dancefloor moments. "The Artist in Me" follows with rebellious acid-tinged textures built around a relentless bassline and the thought-provoking vocal mantra "Being an artist, being me – that's my best excuse to be crazy." The collection concludes with "On My Own," an emotionally charged journey that perfectly balances raw intensity with atmospheric depth.

"Ever since I was a kid I've found it difficult to follow rules, be micromanaged, conform to trends- the list goes on," Helang shares about the project. "Most of the time when writing music all I can do is think about how to channel that energy into my craft. When playing around with the sound designs in this particular EP, I've found a great balance between euphoria and melancholy which is demonstrated in the vocals and synths."

This release rides the momentum of an impressive performance schedule that has seen Helang deliver standout sets at prestigious venues including E1, Teksupport NYE, Brooklyn Storehouse, and Echostage DC. Over the past year, she has shared stages with industry titans such as Amelie Lens, Nicole Moudaber, Adam Beyer, and Eric Prydz, while her productions continue earning support from electronic music's elite including Maceo Plex, Marco Faraone, Richie Hawtin, and Joseph Capriati.

Since launching her own imprint Dauntless Records in 2023, Helang has maintained complete creative control while consistently pushing boundaries in electronic music. The 'Flashback' EP represents another bold step forward for an artist who proudly amplifies her authentic self and cultural heritage while challenging genre norms and inspiring a new generation of producers. As she continues carving her unique space in the electronic music landscape, Helang offers a refreshingly uncompromising voice that resonates with listeners seeking both innovation and authenticity in dance music.
