Southern California singer-songwriter Levi Robin has just shared his latest breathtaking indie folk single. Called "Whole as a Broken Heart”, the song is the first of the year and follows his 2022 single "Lifted" which features American/Israeli rapper Nissim Black.
With "Whole as a Broken Heart”, Levi Robin pens a song inspired by a great spiritual teacher Menachem Mendel of Kotzk and Zohar. The song explores the idea that great lightness, healing and joy can ultimately come in stronger in our lives after a time of sadness and darkness. With ultimate surrender and acceptance, the pathway is open for pure happiness. He sings, "I've been torn down / Tripped Up / Spun Around / But I've Seen / Right Here / Inside of me / A light that flows / Into my nose / Perpetually / Come as you are / Whole as A broken heart." Musically, the song features moody vocals singing cinematic melodies. His knack for poetic wordplay is on full display and the song is introspective, meditative and distinctive. The guitars are atmospheric and the all encompassing production creates intricate sonic worlds that draw the listener in, creating a sense of both tension and release.
Levi Robin has been an explorer and journeyman for most of his life. The artist left school and took a chance on music, embracing his ancient Judaic roots along the way. Teaming up with producer Yoel Kreisler, aka 'FRAYMES', "Whole as a Broken Heart” is his strongest music to date.
