London-based musician/rapper/producer Yung Yusuf is a man who wears many hats in the music space and on his new single  "Are you okay?" he delivers a heartfelt message for folks with families in war-torn countries. The track is a solemn and thoughtful piece that explores the emotional weight of knowing one's family is always in harm's way. Yung Yusuf sends out a message of love as he checks up on everyone he knows with lines like "My heart jumps when I see the news/I feel like I’m seeing you/And your family in Beruit/I think of Spleenter he’s out there too" which underscores his deep concerns for their safety. Joining him on the track is vocalist/songwriter Sunkissed Child who adds her perspective on the situation with a comforting message for folks who are desensitized by the violence.

Yung Yusuf not only makes music but blends DJing with his live band showing listeners the different layers to his sound that blends hip-hop, punk, jazz, and spoken word poetry.
