Award-winning writer, actor, comedian, and musician Lane Moore’s band LANE MOORE + IT WAS ROMANCE – consisting of Angel Lozada (drums), Ryan Ross (bass), and Lisa Bianco (lead guitar) – make a return after a full decade with new EP Final Girl, out via Mint 400 Records.

Produced by Moore and Grammy Award-winning Bryan Russell, the four-track production offers pop-rock anthems that harkens back to the band’s older sound while still delivering bursts of synth-led pop freshness. Described by Moore as a collection of “happy songs for sad people,” the EP taps into struggles and the seemingly futile want for a better world alongside uplifting touches of hope for the future.

The mood of the project is perfectly capturing by opening track "Playing Records," which pays ode to cautious optimism balancing a playful soundscape with thoughtful themes like mental health.

Singer-songwriter Ted Leo speaks of the EP, "Everyone knows Lane's wit, but what always makes it land so well is the sincerity that undergirds it. That comes to the fore in this tight four song EP.”

A powerful number that sways between worlds of self-doubt, loneliness, and isolation, and confidence and connection, the track showcases vulnerability while channelling stubbornness to persevere for better things in life.

A creative powerhouse whose work spans multiple mediums including bestselling books ("How To Be Alone" and "You Will Find Your People,”) successful comedy shows and impressive acting credits like roles on HBO's Girls and Search Party, Moore is at her most expressive tapping into her songwriting abilities as captures yearning for human connection amidst the crossroads of raw, guttural feelings of pain and euphoric yet intimate catharsis.

As Moore draws us into a personal yet relatable journey of letting people in, she re-establishes her craft which brims with a sense of duality – balancing heartache with danceable moments.
